Melbourne Tallow began with a single tub, a slow flame, and the conviction that the best ingredients are the ones with nothing to hide. Today we render in small monthly batches, sourced from 100% grass-fed Victorian farms, and pour every tub by hand.
Single ingredient, honestly sourced
Our tallow is rendered from the kidney suet of 100% grass-fed, pasture-raised cattle. No fillers, no fragrance, no fractionation — just what comes out of the pot.
Triple-rendered for purity
We render low and slow, then filter three times through unbleached muslin. The result is a near-neutral aroma, an off-white colour at room temperature, and a creamy mouthfeel that sinks in without residue and won't unbalance your skin.
