How to use

A staple for the kitchen & the bathroom shelf

In the kitchen

Tallow has a high smoke point (~250°C) and an unmistakable richness. Use it like you'd use butter, ghee, or duck fat — but with a cleaner finish.

01

Roast vegetables

A generous tablespoon over potatoes, parsnips, or carrots. 200°C for 45 minutes. Toss once.

02

Sear steak

Heat a cast-iron pan smoking hot, add a teaspoon, and sear. Tallow loves high heat.

03

Hand-cut chips

Confit at 130°C until soft, then finish at 180°C until crisp. The chippy at home.

04

Eggs & morning toast

Replace butter for fried eggs and mushrooms. Adds a savoury depth that butter can't.

On the skin

Tallow's fatty acid profile closely mirrors the lipids in human skin, so it absorbs without residue. Less is more.

01

Daily moisturiser

A pea-sized amount, warmed between fingertips, smoothed onto clean skin morning and night.

02

Lips, knuckles, elbows

Dab on the dry spots that other balms can't shift. Especially good through Melbourne winter.

03

After sun

Soothes and rebuilds the lipid barrier after a day at the beach.

04

Baby & sensitive skin

Unscented Whipped Balm is gentle enough for nappy areas, eczema-prone patches, and infant skin.
